Equilibrium?  What in the world?  I never heard of it before!”  Me neither – until my cool friends enthusiastically recommended I screen this film for our Forum.  And you know what?  I have to say, it is surprisingly engaging for a movie that I never knew existed until this year!  I am tempted to give you the plot but what fun would that be?  Trust me – and my friend were correct:  It is quite entertaining with great action scenes and lots to talk about.  And if you are a Christian Bale fan, it is a must.  It even impressed Roger Ebert, who gave it 3 out of 4 stars, saying:

Equilibrium would be a mindless action picture, except that it has a mind. It doesn’t do a lot of deep thinking, but unlike many futuristic combos of sci-fi and f/x, it does make a statement.

So bring your heart and mind to engage and discuss the message and spirituality behind Equilibrium. We’ll be serving up freshly brewed coffee for the viewing and tasty croissant sandwiches during our discussion.  Don’t miss out!  And remember:  We are meeting at the High Point Branch.  Be sure to invite your friends.

Check out trailer below and hope to see you on the 13th @ 11 AM!
